Introducing Angeliqua Mcnair-Stylist & Style Public Figure:
“Your Go To Woman for Everything in Fashion & Style”

When the word or term ‘Fashionista’ comes to mind, you instantly think fashionable! You think of shopping, shoes, clothes, jewelry, hair, makeup, and all that good stuff. I agree, but being a fashionista isn’t all about spending your money, and maxing out your credit cards, wiping your bank account clean… just for those last pair of size 37 (US 7) Louboutin heels in the ‘Shoe Salon’ of Bergdorf’s, Neiman Marcus, Or SAKS.
A fashionista to me is a woman (young or old) who is stylish and also a smart spender. She’ll treat herself to an expensive gift, whether it be a Michael Kors watch or a Marc Jacobs bag, but that’s only if she can manage to pay those bills on time. She also shops at thrift stores for second-hand pieces, and stores like Forever21, Madewell, Urban Outifitters, H&M just to name a few ;for budget-friendly gear and she’s not afraid to mix it up.
As I get older, this is the woman I strive to be with cutting back on spending in certain areas and making smart financial decisions now, will make life much easier down the road. Saving and planning tips like the ones offered by SunTrust Bank are extremely helpful because they’re great for just about anyone! – Fashionista, or not.
Budgeting and planning is much more simple than you may think. For me, it all starts with a pen and a pad. I write everything down! ..from spending habits to budget goals, and even what bills need to be paid and when. It helps keeps me in line. It’s a reminder, and it’s very helpful.

I also have 3 different bank accounts! Two checking accounts for Styling businesses endorsements, personal checking, and one personal savings account. Sometimes having so many different check cards can get a little confusing, but it’s convenient for me. I use my personal account for things that do not relate to my business (i.e. groceries, dining out with friends), and my business endorsement account to purchase merchandise for styling clients, business travel, and dining with colleagues. I also try to make at least two deposits into my savings account each month; once during the 1st week of the month and once during the 4th. So, of course I still spend, splurge, and stay fashionable, but only within my means!
I guess you could say I’m something like a “Budget-Fashionsta”… Although I’m from New York and recently relocated my life and business to Atlanta, I do come to Macon often as well.
